Show Flyer Paraphrases Mark Twain

Consolidation at The Northeast Market Center in Bilerica, Massachusetts, northeast of Boston resulted in late mailing of applications for exhibitors according to the promoter's website. But a clever flyer assured buyers that "The Rumors of Our Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated" paraphrasing Mark Twain.

The January Premiere Show, which will be the third through the seventh, will be smaller in terms of square footage, but will feature about the same number of exhibitors -- approximately 45 sales agency showrooms featuring more than 2,000 gift and decor lines plus temporaries. The reduction in the space occupied by the show caused concern that there might not be time to stage the winter event.

GSMA Providing "Buyer's Lounge" in Atlanta

Gift Sales Managers Association (GSMA) is proud to announce that they will be sponsoring a Buyer's Lounge at the upcoming January show, Jan. 6-14. The lounge will be in room #707 of the Gift Building. There will be viewing areas along each wall, with examples of GSMA product lines and information on where the lines are exhibiting. There will also be comfortable chairs and sofas, along with writing tables, so buyers can rest, recuperate, browse the product offerings, have a complimentary bottle of water, and then go on their way refreshed. There will also be a reception on Thursday January 8, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Heart Gifts Creates Ornament for White House

Teresa Thibault, founder of Heart Gifts by Teresa, was selected by Congressman Robin Hayes of North Carolina to decorate an ornament for the White House Christmas tree. Red, white and blue was the theme that highlighting the tree this year. Artists were selected from all across the nation to decorate an ornament with a patriotic theme. Teresa's ornament highlighted three important areas of interest about North Carolina, the majestic mountains, the lighthouses, and the state bird which is the cardinal and the state flower which is the dogwood.

On December 2nd Teresa attended a luncheon at the White House given by First Lady Laura Bush to honor all the artists. Teresa was accompanied by her son Justin Thibault. Teresa said she was very honored to have been chosen for this annual historic event. The ornaments will become a part of the presidential library.
