All That's New
What's New at the Summer Trade Shows

As the Summer Trade Show season kicks off, many attendees will seek to replenish their stock of tried-and-true best sellers, but will also be on the look out for shiny new product lines to draw in customers. For this semiannual Show Issue, we look at what will be new at many of the big trade shows this year.

Brand new this year, on the World Trade Center 13th floor, Dallas Market Center will welcome artists from the American Made Show, the premier wholesale show for designer products handcrafted solely in the U.S. and Canada June 24-30. (read more)

The Ribbon is cut to open a new showroom at Dallas Market Center Approximately 35% of exhibitors in The Pavilions, debuting this year, will be first-time exhibitors at Las Vegas Market (August 2-5, 2015), bringing an influx of established industry suppliers as well as innovative newcomers. New concentrations of previously under-represented lifestyle merchandise categories include upscale paper goods and better children’s merchandise. (read more)

At AmericasMart, The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market, July 7-14, 2015, a new Made in America Pavilion (Building 2, Floor 7). Floor 14 in Building 2 will also have a new specialty gift, toy and children’s items concentration. "Both the Made in America Pavilion and the new toys and gift concentration are direct responses to requests from our valued buyers," says Mary Sullivan Harper, senior vice president of Leasing for Buildings 2 and 3. At the Philadelphia Gift Show, July 19-22, with a special spotlight on new resources, the show will welcome many first-time exhibitors in all categories. Among them: Accents Fashion Accessories, Bali Kraton Treasures, New England Bells, PassItOnWord.com, Silk Saver, Urban Works Textiles and more. (read more)

Custom-tailored to its Pacific Northwest buying audience, the Seattle Gift Show returns to the Washington State Convention Center August 15-18. "We all know buyers come to market to see what's new in an effort to find those designs and styles that will differentiate their store in their community," says Dirk von Gal, vice president, gift, Urban Expositions. Building on the momentum of the winter edition’s 35% attendance increase, the July 25-28 Windy City Gift Show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL will feature a growing roster of new, first-time exhibiting companies. (read more)
